Thrive Global Consulting makes a difference around the world by strengthening the efforts of these grassroots organizations. Strategy Development

While many nonprofits know what they hope to do, they are less clear on exactly how to achieve their goals. Many have 10-30 initiatives – taking on every opportunity that comes their way regardless of how it fits with their mission. Things get muddled fast and leaders burnout. Thrive Global Consulting helps to fill the gap, working with nonprofit leaders to think through their goals, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Together, we develop a strategic plan that can help them to achieve their mission.

 

Program Design

mark-516279_1280The Thrive Global Consulting team works with nonprofits to help them to refine their program design, narrow their focus, select the most powerful initiatives and align programs around the goals of the organization. With collective experience of over 50 years of nonprofit leadership, we have seen what works and doesn’t. Based on that experience, we have built a framework called the 7 principles to bringing change. We help nonprofits work through this framework, applying it to their work and programs.

 

Leadership Development

In the book ‘Good to Great,’ Jim Collins developed a framework on what makes businesses go from good to great. The first area he identified was Level 5 leadership. In the nonprofit world, it’s no different. Great leadership is essential to seeing organizations thrive. We bring coaching and training to help leaders succeed. Our approach is holistic – not just looking at business skills, but making sure the leader as a person is doing well, caring for them as people first and as leaders second. We want to ensure that the leaders that we interact with have the vision, pace, skills and support to serve long term.

 

Training 

teaching-661748_1280Thrive has developed training that takes organizations, especially the second level of leadership, to the next level. The training is practical, taking time to make plans and apply the ideas to each nonprofit’s actual situation. We then provide follow-up coaching after the training to help the students implement what they learn, overcoming obstacles that they may find when they leave the classroom. Curriculum Development

startup-593341_1280Most organizations have some sort of training component. Many are looking to develop or adapt curriculum to meet their needs. Thrive provides curriculum consulting and development, either helping to review curriculum and give ideas on how to strengthen it or helping to develop curriculum units to meet the needs of the organization.

 

 

Communication

Communication can be hard, especially if you are trying to communicate in English and it’s not your first language. We work with organizations to help them to write up impact stories and enhance communication with stakeholders.

 

 

 

Volunteers

we are working to develop a team of volunteers – everyone from those fresh out of college with energy to spare, to those who are retiring and have years of experience to offer. We match volunteer opportunities with the needs in the organizations that we work with

 

 

Fundraising Support

Thrive helps nonprofits raise funds in two ways.

  • Training & coaching – we provide coaching and training to help nonprofits know how to raise funds and help them to develop a plan that will work in their context with their goals.
  • Partnered programs – for select projects, Thrive helps to raise the funds needed for them. These programs are partnered programs; we are involved in the design, monitoring and financial review of the programs.
